As I am writing this, a local news channel is reporting about RTO people working on sunday too, to renew mostly some questionable DLs and later escaping from the office in fear of being exposed to the media...

thats just one instance of the corruption...

at the same time, at most of the other places across the country and around the world there is one more voice for a move, a step ahead to reduce such instances of corruption affecting the common man directly or indirectly...

now...

the question is not whether anna is right or the present govt is...

the question is not whether jan lokpal bill is correct or govt lokpal bill is...

the question is not whether the people on streets are 'provided' by political parties/foreign hands or 'WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA' of our constitution...

the question is, how much belief we have in our political 'resources'?

the question is, do we believe in the first step of change towards anti-corruption?

the question is, are we trusting in the bigger voice against the establishment to voice our concerns?

Nandan Nilekani from the corporate world joins the government in the ambitious UID project and says that he believes in the intention of the government and the politicians for bringing corruption down - where as the local media in Mysore from his earlier corporate hometown does a sting operation in illegally getting a valid UID card in Nandan Nilekani's name along with his photo... questioning the basic idea of UNIQUE in UID itself...

Is everyone against corruption? maybe-

Does that mean no-one will indulge in corruption given the opportunity for corruption with a trust in the system that they won't be punished? maynotbe-

If everyone is divinely pure, we would be in a paradise and most likely never born again with a zero karma carryover... but this is a world of karma - and obviously some will do good with intentions and others with the fear of punishment... and hence we do need 'policing'... not just to bring up kids but even to cleanse the system... like the idea of 'god' from fear perspective...

Will policing or a lokpal solve the problem?
In the absence of a perfect solution, is one step towards that cleansing bad?
When the efforts are demoralizing from the establishment, is a louder voice from some section of the civil society for that one step, however imperfect bad?
In the absence of Lokayukta, was it possible for the CM of Karnataka to step down, scams being exposed, former CM going into a shell, a minister and a corporator going to jail?
Lokayukta might not be a perfect solution, but didn't it create that god-fear-mood in helping with a single step towards corruption-free world?

Perfect solution may not be in a single step, but is it bad to voice for a perfect solution to trigger those single steps towards perfection? When all the representatives are failing to represent people's voice as politics is becoming a business, Is voicing against a corrupt government to see a wave of change, undemocratic?

Is Right to Information Act (RTI) one of those better step towards that perfection? Did it happen in one step by just a government's will without public's voice and demand?

the question is not about whether jan lokpal bill is better? its about the intentions, initiatives and insults by the current 'power' house at the center... If the politicians had the will, it shouldn't have waited since 1968 to pass this bill - If the current govt had the will, it wouldn't have suggested a bill which catches almost none under corruption...

to prove your good-ness is a continuous process...

to prove your bad-ness is a single step process... you just need one proof.

If we have elected the government and if we are not happy, can't we question it? If we want a change in the political system, is joining the politics the only solution - in which case what If I want a change in health system, political system, administrative system, defense system?

I can't play every role in the system. I have the right to ask for a change and I guess thats the right most people are exercising now and I hope that the collective karma of the people swings one step towards the positive side...

NANDALALA b/w KAMINEY and MYNAA!

Though delayed by more than a year, finally got a chance to watch Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminey. Nothing much in the content of the story, but Vishal succeeds in making the plot interesting with his music and visual compositions and also in giving a new 'couple' to Bollywood...

Inspired from a Japanese movie plot, Mysskin again proves his strength in handling the emotions and in well choreographed and interesting shot takings in his latest movie Nandalala.

Though he looks fine with his acting skills trying it out for the first time, he fails in coming up with a gripping story. Good visuals and the emotional peaks of the movie may not change its box office results, but it's Ilayaraja who proves why he is the best, with some great background score and songs.

Finally its Prabu Solomon who walks away with a block buster, which I guess mostly after a decade of him working as an independent director. Again not a strong story line, but Mynaa with the main characters and its refreshing surroundings wins in the end with an emotionally touching climax.

10+ years away from full time movie direction...

Comes back again with another block buster, in a new dimension...

Thats the ability of a genius and

his name is James Cameron and the movies are Titanic in 2D and Avatar in 3D.

Though its not fair and logical to compare the two film makers, the usual question that the recent hype asks is, is UPPI really back with a block buster after 10 years of direction break (or busy acting career)? My personal opinion and wish after watching the 'title less' film is... to time travel a year back and request him not to direct the 'title less' film... I got a feeling that he actually time traveled 10 years ahead from 2000 and made this 'title less' film with the same old thinking, knowledge and the mind.

Though I was aware that I can't expect an extraordinary movie this time... I was atleast expecting a decent entertainer, knowing most of his abilities. But it was really disappointing. In my previous post I was wishing them success. But now I can only pray...

Clock on my laptop reads 11:11 pm, Wednesday January 7th 2009. But I am feeling tired and down even to get some sleep. Same work, same life, same traffic, same salary, same issues, same attitude, same neighbors, same idealogies. I wonder how is our God surviving all these yugas by maintaining this boring chaos. Or is it just one of the channels in his cable network?!

Why should we struggle our whole life when the end result is same for all? Or is it the journey that matters? May be if the end result is so bad! Disabling an Editable Region in Nested Template of Dreamweaver

If you are reading this then obviously you have hit a situation where you have a nested template with an editable region carried from its parent template, which you want to modify in the nested template but make it non-editable in its instances so that the changes in nested template is carried to its instances.

Dreamweaver says, that can happen only (as I understand!) when you create another editable region inside the existing editable region which will make the outer enclosing editable region non-editable. But this still leaves us with one more small editable region which we may not want to have.

Simple solution will be adding a dummy editable region manually using some other editor.

Example:

Original template has an editable region.

So, the nested template which is an instance of original template will have it as an editable instance:


<td>This is still editable!</td>


Now add a dummy region 'EditRegionDummy' to solve the problem!

Looks like I had 'nothing' to write for the past one month. So there were no posts. But if I had 'nothing' then I should be writing about it, right?

Searching 'nothing' in Google Image Search and I ended up with 'nothing' at the top of the results...

Can 'nothing' be a reality? If it is, then 'nothing' exists, and if 'nothing' exists, where is reality?
If 'nothing' is not a reality, then 'nothing' cannot exist and hence, 'nothing' should also exist...

Sony recently launched environmental-friendly digital camera series called 'Odo'. Now a days everyone seems trying hard to contribute to the well being of mother earth and I already commented on this in a different way through the post 'Ant-ego-nes t'. Its good to know that people are concerned, after all there is no choice!

One of the model in Odo series is 'Spin N' Snap'. You spin the camera to charge it. Very innovative! Its even making my mind to run madly into the pre-historic stone age...

Many of you might be aware that many thinking minds say 'History Repeats'. I guess its believed that mankind always reaches its technological peak at some point in time, no matter how many dumbs keep on coming to earth. And it eventually auto-destroys itself to the dismay of those poor dumb souls.

But after looking at these environmental-friendly innovations I have started thinking differently. Materialistic man with mountain of fears starts abandoning each innovation (through reverse-innovation) and eventually end up with a stone in each hand walking naked. You might have already started seeing the latter part happening in recent times...

I am just waiting for an adventurous journey back to stone age.

Today I accidentally watched couple of short films in different channels more than once.

One of the channel was National Geographic and the film was in Kannada with subtitles. It had Prabhu Deva, Ramya, Anu Prabhakar, Jayanti, Saroja Devi and Sadhu Kokila. It was very fast paced with a neat direction/editing and a very good camera work. When I saw the end credits for Cinematography I was not surprised. It was Santosh Sivan. Later found out that he even directed this. It was called 'Prarambha'.

Another one was 'interesting' with some known faces from bollywood. It was called 'Migration' directed by from Mira Nair.

These are actually segments of a 4-segment movie 'AIDS JaaGo' by Mira Nair. Segments are directed by Mira Nair, Santosh Sivan, Farhan Akhtar and Vishal Bharadwaj respectively.

It was 5114 BC...

A very simple math if you know the exact present year and negative operator and some ABCD! I still feel strange how people know the present year, month, day, hour, minute... without being in present?!

So, what is so strange about 5114 BC?? Obviously its not my birth year, at least of this incarnation. But some of the research says its the birth year of so many people, including our Ramayana hero 'Lord Rama'.

So, what? I am not questioning the existence of Rama, as I have my own questions about the reality of my own existence! I am just trying to find this event in the Yuga scale out of curiosity.

According to Yukteswar, at present we are in Dwapara Yuga, Year 307. Current Dwapara Yuga started in 1700AD, after finishing the ascending Kali Yuga from 500AD. Before that we had descending Kali Yuga between 700BC and 500AD during which world witnessed the life of Jesus.

If we go back further by 2400 years of Dwapara Yuga, we get the previous Treta Yuga between 6700BC and 3100BC. Since Ramayana happens in Treta Yuga, 5114BC as Rama's birth year looks a valid year from Yukteswar's version of Yuga maths. And my curiosity about checking the relative correctness between these two ends here!

Practice 'Practice'. Improve your life with discipline through good habits through practice, enhancing your mind-control. Read more. Improve knowledge about world, creation, senses, mind, body, emotions, nature. Do introspections.
Watch yourself how you sit, stand, walk and run! Sitting straight is not to avoid neck/back problems for software engineers, but is the starting step for your spiritual evolution.
Observe and watch your mind's daily life. Try controlling and guiding it through the breath. Remember that you indeed breath on an average of 14 times per minute!
Develop the will power and start to detach the mind from sense objects and draw it inside.
Most of us concentrate on various things, many things, at the same time wasting our energy, calmness and existence. Try to improve the concentration to a single point and start directing it to the proper point depending on your realization level.
Do nothing... and practice it through meditation.
Your ego will die one day in Samadhi if in case you are still alive!

Default behavior of life is always 'perfect'. Relativity Theory, Aishwarya Rai, Schumi, Google, *IdeaNaren*, Landing On Moon... are not just a few bright spots in this vast creation dust. Each of the creation's object/event has the perfect code in its constructor.

So, by default,...
- each new born baby should become the most beautiful person in the world
- each person should get as much money as the personal needs require
- each event should happen according to each individual's good intentions
- each brain's new ideas should materialize as the new inventions...

but, its our memory which overrides the default behavior... pushing mind's reasoning towards a less favorable outcome.

- parents' memory about the history of genetic study decides whether their daughter will be born as Aish or Rakhi (as in Rakhi Sawant)
- each person's memory on the available financial sources and their 'false' limitations decides their current/future financial status

Meditate daily. Forget all those things which you did learn as part of your education. As long as you believe in Newton's Gravitation law you can never make a ball fly...

Cleanup all your junk code, let the default constructor take over...

Searching... God @Google

What is Searching???
Does search always imply that there is something missing?!
Is there a real end to each Search or its just temporary?
Is Desire and Search related and same?
Can there be a search without the desire?

Atleast in the web world, you will have something in your mind you are looking for and that triggers the search. And with a probability > .4 you end up at http://www.google.com to get the answers. But do you ever think how its getting u the answers? or is it just that u assume and believe that it gets u some how?!

You will know what u want, and u will know Google can get u that... and u will just send ur query to Google and wait for the answer... (though < .5 secs cannot be considered as a wait :-)) Most of the people know this pretty well...

But did u ever analysed the thoughts in your mind, your aspirations,... and the role of ur subconscious mind in these cases? Do you know that your subconscious mind is far powerful than Google for your mind's queries?

When, even for a search engine, you never bother about how it does these things... why do u bother about ur own subconsciousmind's processing power? Why dont you just believe in its processing power and send the query thoughts to ur subconsciousmind? You wl definitely get the answers, though it may not be in < .5 seconds in most of the cases :-)

Subconsciousness mind is like Google for your thought queries... like Oracle for your thought SQLs... you should not THINK about how it gets/realizes the answers... it has its own distributed processing power to do it... you just need to BELIEVE it...

Google and Oracle are Gods of their own world... and the theory of God is same everywhere... Remember that Thinking is inversely proportional to Belief :-)

Villain never thinks that he is villain. Whether Villain or Hero, both their minds consider themselves as heros only. Every one in this world executes their current action thinking that its a positive one for a positive cause according to their own analysis. Wrong or Right is defined by the perceiver, the world and in most cases a virtual polling of the human minds.

Is killing wrong?
Is helping someone to kill wrong?
Is witnessing a killing wrong?
Is watching a video of a killing wrong?

Should we censor the contents thats uploaded to web?
Is showing a video of people doing bad thing, a bad thing?
