Ahimsa, Satya, Asteya, Brahmacharya and Aparigraha are just the 5 basic steps forming 'Yama' Anga of Raja Yoga (Patanjali's Yoga Sutras) at the first level (Forget about other levels including 'Pranayama' which is too far at fourth level!).

Think what if everyone had followed the FULL Raja Yoga?! God would have been job less!! ... not even writing this blog :-)
